Dear Lara, Amy and Krystal
I know, I know, my updates are pathetic! I can promise I’ll update more–but I know better:)
It is pouring, and Queen’s “Somebody to Love” is blasting through my house. All the cousins are rocking out . . . and so am I. How can you refrain when listening to that song?
In between breaks of rain the cousins race out for some four square. In this house–it’s all about the four-square.
Even little Ollie has learned the rules (which are still a mystery to me) as he yells out “BUS STOP!!!” Which means all must run to touch the ball and the last one there is out.
Sophie celebrated her 9th on the ice with all her friends.
How can my baby be so big? Nothing but smiles, ever appreciative of what she is given, the best sister. She can now add Student Council to her list of activities–that was a big one for her!
Christmas came and went. Scaled back, simple, lovely.
Live nativity with the cousins, gingerbread houses, decorating the home, viewing the temple lights, corny PJ’s:)
The only part missing–my family which I didn’t get to see this year.
My favorite gift? A couple days away in Napa Valley sans kiddos. Beautiful country, a natural springs spa, and AMAZING food at the famous Bouchon.
Swindles made their annual January trek. We squeezed in a couple trips to the city (wowed by the new California Academy of Science), enjoyed parks in record-breaking warm weather and whipped up these skirts for the little ladies–(seriously Becs, you are a genius)
We are enjoying sunny days and cozy nights–complete with firelight storytelling (how about that full-moon?)
If you are up for a mean game of four-square, do stop by.

Finally! I do love to hear your updates and see your pictures!
Love you!
Uhm… I kinda really miss when you guys don’t post!!! I missed you guys over christmas!! Love you tons!!
I had completely given up on any kind of update Ms. Primary President, but today.. I thought to myself “self- look at Amy’s blog” low and behold an update. The stars must have aligned.
Looks like you are enjoying life–I’m glad. I’m a bit confused by the four square game as well. Oh the Swindles- that Rebecca is pure genius.
I’m jealous of your Napa Valley get away. Is that the life I can expect when Adam FINALLY graduates?
Anxious for May- should I buy my ticket?
I am SO excited to see you guys! Yes, the one week that you update your blog, our computer shut down and sat at Best Buy a few days. The pictures are always so cute and I love to see the kids(they are getting so big)!! The pj’s at Christmas are too cool and I love your new hairstyle!
I’m jealous of all your trips! Traveling is one of my favorite things! Hopefully when Addison gets a little older we can come back!!! Talk to you soon.
Oh, and thank you for dedicating it to me!
When I click and see an update it always makes me smile. 4 square is HUGE at our house as well. In fact, I was cracking up when Weston was teaching me rules I didn’t know existed. I would for sure ring that door bell if and when we ever are up in your neck of the woods!
How I love to see pictures of the Oakland Temple. I am planning a trip out that way by myself early summer courtesy of my wonderful husband to see my family (parents 40th). Hopefully we can see each other.
Hurray! An update! The kids are darling as ever! Definitely wish we were living in CA again. Maybe someday!
Amy! May I stop by? Now that I know what “Bus stop” is, I think I just might fit in! After a lovely week in California last week, I am convinced you live in a magical place. Granted, it was Southern California, but I am hooked and can’t wait to get back.
Your Sophie is beautiful (nine?!) just like her mama. Cute kids, Amy.
Please hug Kristin for me. We sure miss the B. Wises … hoping that maybe one day they’ll find their way back to Utah, but I wouldn’t blame them a bit for staying in California. Beautiful California.
So glad to hear that life is treating you well!
Can’t wait to see you in May! Happy to find an Amy update here.
